The Dream

The action takes place outside the Globe Theatre in the year 1599 where Will Kemp, comic actor and fool, has taken on a dare by the theatre manager to stand in for Nell the orange seller, who is off sick.

Will as Nell the orange seller

Unfortunately the afternoon's performance of a Midsummer Night's Dream is full, so Nell (alias Will) decides to entertain the disappointed crowd outside and keep them informed of the progress of the play.
